Back in the Saddle mark 2
Again, it’s been a while since my last post. This time I got my site certificate without a hitch. Before that, I moved my site off the Raspberry PI that was hosting it to a Linode cloud server. The difference is that it now has a real static IP address, whereas the PI needed port forwarding since we don’t have a business Comcast account. It cost only $5 a month and I get 1 CPU core, 1GB of RAM, and 25GB of storage - sweet.
My home lab is coming along. I got another workbench with a stool. The pug (Barney) is not new.
Installed a TV antenea on the wall
Put my desktop compter off the test bench and into real case.
Got a color laser.
And bought a Beelink mini pc and installed Proxmox on it. Gave it a managed switch for good measure.
Whew!
The small HP computer on the left of my keyboard is a refurbished thin client I’ll use as my main acces to the Proxmox server. The Proxmox server is a Type 1 hypervisor running virtual machines. Very cool stuff in case you don’t know.
